Project 1 Color Palettes

 

 

Did several color palettes, trying to find the right scheme that embodies my subject (Julie Andrews). I feel like Julie Andrews is a classy person. Poised, elegant and cheery. It was difficult selecting colors that exuded these qualities without being too flashy. On the other hand I didn't want the palette to be bland, I wanted the colors to be eye catching and vibrant.

Project 1 - part 1

Silhouette done in Adobe Illustrator. I chose (young) Julie Andrews.

Hansel & Gretel

Completed December 2013 with acrylic and color pencils.

Fairy tale assignment for Traditional Illustration class. The story of Hansel & Gretel but located in feudal Japan.

Chameleon

Completed December 2013 with paper from paper back novels. This technique is called paper quilling. Was done for my 3D design class.
